2026 Spring Themes:
Week 1: Mud Mania- CommUNITY in the Mix
We are kicking off the spring session in all its muddy glory with inspired games, creations and learning along side new and familiar commUNITY connections!
Week 2: Breeze & Bloom- The Dance of Wind & Seeds
This week we will explore the important relationship between wind and seeds through STEM experiments and up close learning.
Week 3: Earth's Embrace- Connecting with Pachamama’s Heart (Earth Day)
Not only will our day be spent tending to the lands surrounding each of our locations, but it will also be spent cultivating a sense of love and gratitude for our beautiful Mother Earth.
Week 4: Bursting Buds- Enjoying Beltane’s Bloom
Alongside the changing season and the exciting ‘half way mark’ between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice we will spend the day in reflection and vision casting as we use nature as our guiding point- focusing on natures natural cycles in both the animal and plant worlds.
Week 5: Habitat Hub- Connecting with our Local Ecosystems
As many animals continue their journey back to be awake and active, we will spend the day learning about the eco-systems close to us and what spring time looks like within.
Week 6: Sticks, Stones & Stories- Sharing Experiences & Skills
There are so many ways we can communicate, learn and share. This week we will put many creative and unique ways to the test as we use our hands and natural elements to tell stories and learning new skills.
Week 7: Whittlewood Enchantments- Where Woodwork Meets Wonder
Our fairy and enchanted theme days are always a favourite! This spring we will enchanting the forest by using our wood working skills to create wands, fairy doors and more!
Week 8: Green Giants of the Ganaraska Forest- Program Wide Field Trip
A spring and fall tradition of ours is to come together with ALL locations for a field trip at The Ganaraska Forest. These trips are deeply enriched in commUNITY and connection. With a big side of epic learning- Ganaraska staff rock! This spring we will enjoy their ‘Green Giants’ program.
Week 9: Map Masters- Plotting the Course
Our goal this week is to make map creating and reading fun and exciting as we pair it with relevant skills and a treasure hunt!
Week 10: B3 Fun- Birds, Bugs & Bees
B to the power of 3! This week we will bring our focus to the little world of creatures that surround us. We can learn so much from birds, bugs and bees- our activities will be rich in information!
Week 11: Survive & Thrive- Spring Fling Games
This week we will be creating healthy competition for our Spring Fling Games! Our day will be made up of nature inspired games and survival scenarios that the wilds will have to overcome to reach ‘the finish line’ and closing celebration ceremony.
Week 12: Solstice Harmony- Sun & Shadow Align
Alongside our celebrations of an amazing session we will also be celebrating the official start of summer! This high vibing day will be made up of feel good reflections and inspired learning about sun and shadows.
