2026 Summer Themes:

For the first time this Summer, ALL eight of our weekly themes, will fall under our umbrella theme… wild wisdom.

Animals are some of our greatest teachers, they each hold their own kind of wisdom—which always offers us the opportunity to learn about the living world while ALSO discovering deeper lessons through the unique energy, behaviours, and gifts each one carries. This summer, we will journey alongside a series of beautiful creatures and explore the many lessons, stories, skills, and connections each one has to offer.

  • Week 1: Honey Bee | Small Wings, Big Work | community, cooperation, purpose

As we begin our summer session together, Honeybee reminds us of the importance of commUNITY, connection, and the small ways we each help make something beautiful grow. Through cooperative games, nature crafts, and hands-on exploration, our wild ones will begin building friendships, learning rhythms, and settling into the heart of our summer together — one small wingbeat at a time.

  • Week 2: Beavers | Builders of the Wild | creativity, determination, teamwork

Beaver week is all about building and creating together, an extension to our commUNITY building in week one. The wild ones will not only learn more about the beaver and their important role in shaping ecosystems, they will also enjoy working on collaborative building projects, loose parts play and engineering challenges where we will encourage teamwork, creativity, and determination as our summer session really gets underway.

  • Week 3: Owl | Eyes of the Forest | intuition, vision, wisdom

This week we will journey with Owl, the quiet watcher of the forest. Together we will explore the power of observation, intuition, and seeing beyond what first appears. Through night-inspired games, silent walks, storytelling, feather crafts, and learning about owl habitats and behaviours, children will be invited to slow down, notice deeply, and trust their inner wisdom.

  • Week 4: Fox | The Wild Pathfinder | adaptability, cleverness, instinct

Fox reminds us that some of the best adventures begin off the beaten path. This week we will explore camouflage, adventure the path less travelled and follow our curiosity wherever it leads. Through playful challenges and nature-based games, our wild ones will be invited to embrace adaptability, wonder, and the courage to forge their own path.

  • Week 5: Moose | Standing Tall in the Wild | confidence, gentleness, quiet strength

A wild inspired us during our spring session for this weeks theme! We envision a day where games, food, music and stories take us on a journey as we honour each wilds heritage. (We will be in touch with those registered with further details for this day together).

  • Week 6: Raven | Keepers of Mystery & Magic | creativity, intelligence, wonder

Raven week arrives with mystery and a little bit of forest magic. Together we will explore bird communication, shiny treasures and the important role ravens play within ecosystems. Through folklore, scavenger hunts, imaginative play, and creative arts, our wild ones will lean into the wonder that lives within the unseen.

  • Week 7: Coyote | Tricksters & Trail Teachers | humour, learning from mistakes, resilience

Coyote week brings humour, storytelling, and lessons found through adventure. This week we will embrace imaginative play, problem solving, tracking, and ‘trickster ways’. Children will be encouraged to laugh, adapt, take healthy risks, and learn from both mistakes and surprises along the way.

  • Week 8: Butterfly | The Becoming Journey | growth, individuality, transformation

As our summer session comes to an end, Butterfly invites us to pause and notice all that has grown and changed along the way. This week is not only a celebration of a fantastic summer together, but also a celebration of becoming — the growing confidence, meaningful friendships, and all the little moments that shaped our summer together.
